Chosen River Alaska Float Camp Details!

We carry the finest float fishing camp we know of – lets do a run down of our setup!

We carry a full kitchen with dining table which fits inside our 16’x16′ Western Shelter Systems Yurt.

16'x16' Western Shelter Systems Yurt

This tent can withstand any conditions and truly makes a safe shelter from any storm, rain, wind and bugs. It is a very recognizable and sturdy Kanektok River habitat!

It’s also nice to be able to hang out on the gravel bar! The Kanektok River has some incredible scenery and classic gravel bars.

What about that kitchen tent again?

We host FULL meals inside of our tent – big breakfasts and a dinner menu that changes every night complete with garden fresh salads and Dutch Oven Desserts. Hot Coffee and Teas, Juice Drinks, Ready Made and Available Water, and Wine and Beer are all available. Our Kanektok River Habitat makes for the best atmosphere to share fish tales, expound on the wonders of the wilderness, listen to some tunes, and experience Alaska in total comfort.

What are FULL meals?

We have eggs and bacon, biscuits, hash browns, sausages for breakfasts. We do a Halibut night, steaks, pork chops, legendary Appetizer Trays and always a Dutch Oven Dessert!

We usually do appetizers with select fresh salmon – and we can always put them on the plates for dinners as well! Streamside DAY OF harvested fresh Salmon is an experience like nothing else.

What about the Client Tents?

We carry and set up daily our Eureka Base Camp Tents that are 10’x10′ and 7’6″ in the middle. These are spacious enough to stand up inside of and house our Alaska Size Cots.

Can you fish from camp?

Fishing from camp can be done almost every night depending on water levels.  Its a great time to work on some of the finer points and try out new flies.

You could be lucky enough to graduate from our Kanektok River Float Fishing Program and receive your award!

The Kanektok River is a 100 mile long elusive wilderness exploration that requires guides who know where and how to get there. Our team of guides cherish each campsite and know the safest and most comfortable gravel bars out there.
