We had a wicked awesome time with High Country Guide Service! Great instruction for us beginners and heaps of local knowledge on the water. We fished hard to our campsite that appeared to be set up for royalty. We had a delicious tenderloin dinner and even had a cake out there. It might have rained but we couldn’t tell cause there was a baller canopy over us keeping us dry. We had a great time with great guides thank you!!!

Definitely book an overnight trout trip! We had a great time exploring the water while getting pointers on how to perfect our casts and where the fish are hanging out. It was both our first times fly fishing & the guide service provided everything we needed including lunch and dinner, charcuterie, dessert, and breakfast the next day.

While visiting in the area, I wanted to experience a guided fly fishing adventure, High Country gave me that and more. Kirby was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. The last time I fly fished was over 50 years ago. Kirby showed me a technique for stream fishing and where to find the fish. I caught a total of 7; granted they were small, but the thrill was huge. Amazing overnight Pisgah forest trip – wading, fly fishing and hiking to a gorgeous campsite by the river all set up and just waiting for us. So much fun learning and laughing with Nate, Kole and Hayden. Great food, great fellowship and a spectacular adventure in the woods. Doesn’t get any better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic mountain experience with guides who know what they’re doing. We’ll be back in the spring!
